What shoes should I wear?!? 0
How many pairs of sneakers do I need? One pair? Two pair? Do I need sneakers or weightlifting shoes? What is the most functional shoe for me? Does a shoe really make that much of a difference?
As CrossFit becomes part of your daily routine you are bound to start asking some of these questions. There is no way I could sum this up better than this article written by Lon Kilgore, Ph.D. and Mark Rippetoe, CSCS:
I can say from my own personal experience is that the shoe makes a HUGE difference. It is amazing the change you feel right from your first lift, your feet feel grounded and not unstable. I have had some of you try lifting a couple reps in your sneakers then a couple reps barefoot/socks. I think you felt what a big difference that makes so can you image if you have the right shoe!?!? Depending on what type of shoe you choose they will probably run you between $30-$100. For an overall better lifting experience I say it is totally worth the investment.
